Gold rebounded on 28 October, but the 11:06 Berlin chart snapshot did not yet show a confirmed recovery. The completed 15-minute candle remained below the 4,058–4,060 decision area. An evidence-based system should therefore classify the move as unconfirmed rather than automatically bullish.
This article explains exactly what “AI-assisted” means in the GOLD-IQ-AI process. It does not mean that a model predicted the next price or issued a trade. The system organises observable conditions; the editorial conclusion remains human and conditional.
The input data used in this example
The AI-assisted layer receives only structured observations from the dated chart:
- the completed M15 close relative to the 4,058–4,060 zone;
- whether a later candle retested the reclaimed area;
- whether the retest held or closed back below the zone;
- the location of the short-term invalidation level;
- whether the higher timeframe agrees with the M15 structure.
It does not know the future, and it cannot turn incomplete market data into certainty.
What the model can classify
| Observed condition | Classification |
|---|---|
| Close remains below 4,058–4,060 | Rebound, not confirmed recovery |
| Close above zone, no later retest | Breakout attempt awaiting confirmation |
| Close above plus separate holding retest | Confirmed reclaim within the selected timeframe |
| Close returns below reclaimed zone | Failed reclaim |
What the model cannot confirm
Even when the checklist produces a “confirmed reclaim” label, it cannot guarantee continuation, estimate an exact target or replace risk control. It also cannot determine whether an unusual geopolitical headline or scheduled economic release will change the structure after the snapshot.
The word “confirmed” is therefore narrow: the specified chart conditions occurred. It is not a promise that the trade will be profitable.
Why the human review remains necessary
Rules reduce inconsistency, but context still matters. A human reviewer must check:
- whether the zone was selected before or after seeing the outcome;
- whether the price feed and timestamp are documented;
- whether the move occurred during liquid hours;
- whether higher-timeframe resistance changes the interpretation;
- whether a scheduled event makes the snapshot obsolete.
This prevents the model from giving a precise-looking answer to a poorly defined question.
Conditional outlook for the dated snapshot
Stronger recovery evidence: a completed M15 close above 4,058–4,060 followed by a separate retest holding the zone as support. This would strengthen the recovery case without guaranteeing continuation.
Failed confirmation: repeated closes below the area, or a short move above it that quickly closed back underneath. That would leave the rebound inside the previous structure rather than establishing a durable reversal.
A reproducible scoring example
For research consistency, the checklist can award one point for each completed condition: close above the zone, separate retest, holding close after retest and higher-timeframe agreement. A score is an audit trail, not a forecast. Changing the rules after the result would invalidate the comparison.
This distinction is central to responsible AI use in trading: the tool should expose the evidence and uncertainty, not manufacture confidence.
